RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIVEKANANDA CENTENARY COLLEGE

    As the name implies, the College commemorates the First Birth Centenary of Swami Vivekananda. The foundation of the College was laid by Srimat Swami Vireshwaranandaji Maharaj, the then General Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, on 3rd December 1961 and it started functioning since July, 1963. A monk of the Ramakrishna Mission is at the head of the Institution . Along with Pass Courses the College has provision for teaching Honours courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. Post Graduate Class in Chemistry has been introduced in the year 2008 and it is now under West Bengal State University, Barasat and also M.Sc. Course in Botany started in the year 2012 and also introduced UGC recognized certificate courses in Computer application and Mushroom Cultivation.
